The Shape

Slightly rounded sides and a softly curved base, the traditional everyday profile. Wide enough to support a full piece of fish or a burger patty. Thin enough at the leading edge to slide cleanly underneath without tearing. The curve at the base means it doesn't catch on the pan. Classic proportions because they're correct.

The Material

Solid black walnut sourced from the Willamette Valley. Deep chocolate brown, tight closed grain, and a density that holds up to daily kitchen use without showing it. Hard enough to hold a clean edge. Smooth enough to work on any surface, non-stick, cast iron, stainless, ceramic — without scratching.

Zero Micro-Plastics

Every time a plastic or silicone spatula contacts a hot pan, it sheds microplastic particles into your food. Solid hardwood never sheds, never chips, never flakes. It has been a food-safe kitchen material for thousands of years. There's a reason it's coming back.

Finished with the same food-safe hard wax oil used on every AWG utensil. 100% plant-based, food contact safe in wet and dry states.
