Our solid wood boards are easy to care for and can last decades if properly looked after. To ensure the longevity and safety of your cutting board, follow these care tips:
Cleaning:
- Wash immediately: After each use, wash the cutting board with hot soapy water.
- Avoid harsh chemicals: Avoid using abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh detergents as they can damage the wood.
- Scrub gently: Use a soft sponge or brush to scrub away food particles.
- Dry thoroughly: Wipe the board dry with a clean cloth to prevent water stains and mold.
Maintenance:
- Condition regularly: To prevent drying and cracking, condition your cutting board with mineral oil or beeswax every few months.
